Manchester United Women’s head coach Marc Skinner has departed by mutual agreement after spending five years at the club.
Skinner replaced Casey Stoney in July 2021 and guided United to two top-three finishes in the Women’s Super League. He also secured the team’s first-ever Champions League qualification in 2023.
During his tenure, United advanced to three consecutive FA Cup finals. Their 2024 Wembley triumph over Tottenham delivered the club’s first and only major trophy so far.
“Marc played an important role in the ongoing development of Manchester United Women,” the club said in a statement. “We sincerely appreciate the professionalism, commitment and dedication he demonstrated during his time with United, and we wish him the very best for the future.”
United placed fourth in the WSL last season and failed to secure European qualification. They also lost to Chelsea in the League Cup final in March, while their Champions League campaign ended with a quarter-final defeat to Bayern Munich.
