At a time when Aston Villa need fresh optimism following the sale of several important players, bringing in a gifted prospect from Real Madrid could provide exactly that. Villa have approached the Spanish club about Brazilian forward Endrick, who performed well during a loan spell at Lyon last season. If negotiations progress smoothly, he could make another temporary move, this time to the Premier League.

Manchester City have little desire to part with Rodri, but his contract has only one year left to run, meaning a substantial offer could influence their position, particularly if the midfielder pushes for an exit. Barcelona have already had an opening proposal turned down and are preparing a second attempt. They may include Frenkie de Jong in the agreement, which would give Enzo Maresca a high-profile replacement in midfield.

Another player who may leave Camp Nou is World Cup final goalscorer Ferran Torres. Reports suggest he has indicated his willingness to join Paris Saint-Germain, although the clubs have yet to reach an agreement.

Everton and Crystal Palace are also considering a possible exchange. The clubs have held discussions about Dwight McNeil and Brennan Johnson heading in opposite directions. Neither winger has consistently secured a starting place, so a move could help both players revive their careers. McNeil was close to joining Palace in January, but the transfer collapsed late in the process, reportedly angering him and his family.

Ipswich have remained busy in the transfer market and are interested in Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Exequiel Palacios. The club have submitted an offer and are now waiting for a response, although rival teams could still compete for his signature.

Following lengthy negotiations, Chelsea have agreed to send Filip Jörgensen on loan to affiliated club Strasbourg. With an oversized squad still requiring attention, Chelsea may also permit Jamie Gittens to join Roma temporarily, as not every surplus player can move to Strasbourg.

Newcastle have been forced to reassess their midfield plans after Bruno Guimarães departed. Sandro Tonali’s earlier sale provided additional funds, but the club still urgently need another central midfielder. Bayern Munich’s unwanted João Palhinha remains under consideration, while former Tottenham player Pierre-Emile Højbjerg is another candidate. Aston Villa are also pursuing Palhinha and have already contacted the German champions.

Manchester United are looking toward the future by targeting Leicester teenager Louis Page. The 18-year-old developed through the Foxes’ academy and appears willing to leave League One for a new opportunity.

Meanwhile, Shea Charles is nearing a £30m transfer from Southampton to Fulham.
