Crystal Palace Near Deal to Sign Anan Khalaili from Union SG

News

Crystal Palace are nearing an agreement to recruit Anan Khalaili from Belgian club Union Saint-Gilloise.

The 21-year-old is likely to finalise his transfer to the Eagles next week, with the deal reportedly valued at around £21m.

Primarily deployed on the right side of midfield, Khalaili featured 52 times across all competitions for Union SG last season, contributing six goals and six assists.

The Israel international also represented Union SG in the Champions League, giving him valuable continental experience ahead of Palace’s Europa League campaign.

Palace have already strengthened their squad during the transfer window by bringing in defenders Takehiro Tomiyasu and Oscar Mingueza on free transfers.

The club are also expected to recruit 19-year-old Real Salt Lake winger Zavier Gozo and had previously shown interest in Brennan Johnson.

Johnson, however, is poised to join Everton through an exchange agreement that would see Dwight McNeil head in the other direction.
