Manchester United have been given the opportunity to sign Myles Lewis-Skelly as a possible solution at left-back, while Arsenal aim to recover part of the £75m they spent to recruit Bruno Guimarães from Newcastle.
Chelsea have reportedly also been informed that the 19-year-old is available. However, it remains uncertain whether the west London side will pursue the defender, who lifted the Premier League trophy under Mikel Arteta last season.
Lewis-Skelly started only five league matches and featured 36 times across all competitions during the 2025-26 campaign. Despite agreeing to a five-year deal last summer, he could now be valued at approximately £45m.
That valuation is comparable to United’s spending so far this summer, which includes Youri Tielemans’s £35m transfer from Aston Villa and the acquisition of Andrey Santos from Chelsea for £48m, with a further £2m potentially due in add-ons.
Newcastle defender Lewis Hall continues to be United’s preferred target. However, after the departures of Guimarães, Sandro Tonali to Tottenham and Anthony Gordon to Barcelona, newly appointed manager Matthias Jaissle is determined to retain the 21-year-old England international.
United could also consider RB Leipzig’s 28-year-old left-back David Raum as an alternative option.
