Crystal Palace are negotiating a deal to bring Evann Guessand back on a season-long loan from Aston Villa.
The 25-year-old Ivory Coast attacker spent the latter half of last season at Selhurst Park and helped the team lift the Conference League trophy in May.
Guessand arrived at Villa in August last year, but struggled to make an impact following his £26m move, registering two goals across 21 appearances in all competitions.
Following his January switch to Palace, Guessand netted his first Premier League goal in a 1-0 victory against Wolves and later featured as a substitute in the Conference League final triumph over Rayo Vallecano.
He ended the campaign with a Europa League winner’s medal as well, having represented Villa earlier in the competition before Unai Emery’s team secured the title.
Guessand also came off the bench twice for the Ivory Coast during this summer’s World Cup.
He rejoined Villa for pre-season after Palace decided not to activate their option to purchase him earlier in the summer.
