Player recruitment should be a joint effort between the football department and Derek McInnes. The recruitment staff should find candidates who match the manager’s preferred profile, with the manager making the ultimate decision.
Bringing in 27 players within a single year is a clear indication that major mistakes have been made.
The squad still requires first-choice options at right-back, centre-back and central midfield, despite three midfielders arriving during the summer. I also believe two more wide players are needed.
Should Derek continue using a two-striker system, another forward will also have to be recruited.
