Manchester United midfielder Toby Collyer is discussing a possible permanent return to West Bromwich Albion.
Collyer has trained with Michael Carrick’s squad throughout pre-season and played the second half of last week’s draw against Leeds United at Croke Park, replacing the injured Mason Mount.
Despite his involvement, Collyer has long been expected to depart Old Trafford this summer.
Discussions over the proposed transfer remain in their initial stages.
The midfielder moved to West Brom on loan last summer before returning to United in January, having made 12 appearances and started three matches.
After recovering from a calf problem, the 22-year-old joined Hull City but managed only five appearances as further injury concerns disrupted his spell.
Hull reportedly considered re-signing Collyer following their promotion to the Premier League, although no agreement has been reached.
