Rangers have strengthened their attacking options by signing Kim Min-Su from Girona for an undisclosed amount.
The 20-year-old South Korean has agreed to a four-year deal that includes an option for an additional season, making him Rangers’ 12th arrival of the summer.
The Ibrox club have been eager to add more width to their squad. Kim joins Djeidi Gassama, Findlay Curtis, Ross McCausland and fellow summer signing Daisuke Yokota among their wide options.
Rangers were close to signing Couhaib Driouech from PSV Eindhoven earlier this month, but the 24-year-old was dealing with a minor injury.
The Scottish club later had a £7.5m bid for 21-year-old Amario Cozier-Duberry turned down by Brighton.
Manager Derek McInnes expressed his pleasure at welcoming Min-Su to Rangers.
He explained that improving the team’s attacking choices had been a major priority throughout the transfer window and believes the new signing will bring a fresh and exciting quality to the squad.
McInnes also described Min-Su as a gifted young footballer with strong technical skills, plenty of energy and a clear determination to improve, adding that the club is eager to begin working with him.
Kim spent last season on loan with second-tier side Andorra and has now departed Girona following the club’s relegation from La Liga.
He registered 19 goals across 84 appearances for Girona B and featured eight times for the senior side. During his spell at Andorra, he recorded six goals and four assists in 40 matches.
