Coventry City have announced the arrival of Toulouse winger Yann Gboho, who is the cousin of France and Paris St-Germain attacker Desire Doue.
An agreement to sign the 25-year-old was reached and lodged with the Premier League before Tuesday’s transfer window closed.
The deal still needed Fifa’s confirmation, which has now been granted, although the transfer remains dependent on approval of a UK visa.
Born in the Ivory Coast, Gboho played youth international football for France. He recorded 19 goals across 83 appearances for Toulouse in all competitions.
Gboho began his professional journey with Rennes, later joining Vitesse Arnhem on loan before continuing his career at Cercle Brugge.
After earning promotion, Coventry have invested over £100m in their squad this summer, and Gboho is their 12th addition of the window.
Frank Lampard’s team will visit Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday at 15:00 BST after suffering defeats in their first two matches of the campaign.
