Arsenal have been paired with defending champions Barcelona and record eight-time winners Lyon in the Women’s Champions League league stage. Chelsea will visit Lyon, while Manchester City are set to meet last season’s semi-finalists Bayern Munich.
Arsenal’s home fixtures will be against Lyon, Benfica and Danish club HB Koge, whom they defeated both home and away during the 2021-22 campaign.
Renee Slegers’ team will make away trips to Barcelona, Paris FC and Inter Milan as they attempt to regain the European crown secured in 2025.
Chelsea, runners-up in 2020-21, are due to welcome Paris St-Germain, Roma and league-stage newcomers Austria Wien to London.
Chelsea manager Sonia Bompastor will return to former club Lyon when her side visits the competition’s most successful team in France. Away matches against Sweden’s Hacken and Belgium’s OH Leuven complete their programme.
Women’s Super League champions Manchester City entered pot three after missing European competition last season, but managed to avoid the most difficult possible draw.
Andree Jeglertz’s squad will host Paris St-Germain, Real Madrid and Austria Wien, while travelling to Bayern Munich, Hacken and Inter Milan.
Among the other notable fixtures from Friday’s draw, Barcelona will visit Bayern for a repeat of their 2025-26 semi-final, and the German club will also travel to play Paris St-Germain.
At the draw in Nyon, Switzerland, the 18 participating clubs were divided into three pots containing six teams each. Every club was assigned two opponents from each pot, playing one at home and the other away.
Arsenal and Chelsea were included in pot one, while Manchester City were placed in pot three.
UEFA is expected to confirm each club’s full fixture schedule on Saturday, 5 September.
The opening league-stage fixtures will be held on 22 and 23 September, with the sixth and last round scheduled for 16 December.
Knockout play-offs are scheduled for February 2027, before the quarter-finals in March and the semi-finals at the beginning of May.
Warsaw will host the final during the last week of May.
