Hull City winger Sorba Thomas was involved in a road accident near the club’s training facility, the team has confirmed.
The 27-year-old escaped without injury following the crash on Millhouse Woods Lane in Cottingham on Friday morning. Images showed his grey Land Rover Defender overturned with damaged windows.
Humberside Police said emergency crews remained at the location while inquiries continued and advised the public to stay away from the area.
Hull City said it was relieved to learn that Thomas, who moved to the Tigers from Stoke earlier this month, had not been hurt.
The club also reassured supporters that, despite pictures of the vehicle being shared online, Thomas suffered no injuries and was able to leave the car safely.
