Arsenal have finalised an agreement to transfer Leandro Trossard to Besiktas, clearing the path for the 31-year-old’s exit after three and a half seasons in north London.
Trossard arrived from Brighton in January 2023 and was an instrumental figure as Mikel Arteta’s squad ended a 22-year drought for the Premier League trophy last term, netting six goals in 31 top-flight outings, including a dramatic last-gasp strike that sealed a vital win against West Ham in May.
His farewell appearance came in the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain, where he set up Kai Havertz’s early opener in a 1-1 draw in Budapest before Arsenal succumbed on penalties.
“We have agreed terms with Besiktas for the permanent move of Leandro Trossard,” an Arsenal statement confirmed. “A further update will follow once the process is formally concluded.”
Besiktas outlined on their official site: “Formal talks have begun with professional footballer Leandro Trossard and his club Arsenal concerning a permanent transfer.”
Trossard totalled 174 appearances across all competitions for Arsenal, scoring 36 times. He also featured for Belgium at both the 2022 and 2026 World Cups.
