A transfer agreement has been reached for Hearts to acquire Forest Green Rovers’ skipper Laurent Mendy.
The central player has been a target for the Tynecastle club across the previous two recruitment periods, with an offer rejected during the winter window.
An accord has now been finalized for the 29-year-old, originally from France, who is poised to become the Edinburgh side’s tenth addition of the close season.
Mendy moved to Forest Green in 2025 from Macclesfield and made 47 appearances last term for the English fifth-tier outfit.
Discussions over individual contract details are currently progressing as Hearts gear up for the opening leg of their Champions League second qualifying round clash with Sturm Graz on Tuesday (19:30 BST).
