Louis Page: Manchester United in Talks to Sign Leicester Teenager

News

Manchester United are pursuing an agreement to recruit Leicester City teenager Louis Page.

The 18-year-old midfielder, who received the EFL Apprentice of the Year award last season, is regarded as one of the most promising young players outside England’s top division.

The England Under-20 international has already featured 21 times for Leicester’s senior team. He started five matches during their relegation from the Championship last season, while his latest appearance came in Saturday’s Carabao Cup victory against Northampton.

Negotiations over a potential agreement are believed to be continuing.

Arsenal and Aston Villa have also expressed strong interest in Page, who celebrated his 18th birthday last month.

Page may become the latest highly rated prospect to leave Leicester following 17-year-old forward Jeremy Monga’s move to Manchester City.

The midfielder agreed professional terms with Leicester in September 2025, so Manchester United must negotiate a transfer fee with the League One club.

When announcing that contract, Leicester called him “one of the most promising players in our academy”.

He entered Leicester’s academy at under-nine level before making his first-team debut against Huddersfield Town in the Carabao Cup in August 2025.
