Operating as a deep-lying playmaker, he could form an effective partnership with Anderson, who is equally capable of playing box-to-box or filling the defensive midfield position he occupies for England.
Since his debut in October 2023, only three days after turning 16, Bouaddi has made 88 appearances for Lille and contributed to their third-place finish in Ligue 1 last season.
He entered Lille’s history books as their youngest-ever player when he made his first-team debut against KI shortly after his 16th birthday in 2023.
Supporters at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy celebrated him after he helped Lille overcome Real Madrid in the Champions League on the day he turned 17.
At 18, he surpassed a record previously held by Eden Hazard by becoming the youngest player to reach 50 Ligue 1 appearances for Lille.
