Dara O’Shea: Delivered a strong defensive performance and handled his duties effectively before Fernandes began to dictate proceedings. 6
Issa Diop: Was frequently forced into emergency defending, but generally managed the pressure well and helped organise the Ipswich back line throughout the match. 6
Jacob Greaves: Looked assured in possession and maintained his position rather than following Cunha into deeper areas. However, he appeared slightly short of the quality required at this standard. 6
Leif Davis: Opened up the defence with an excellent pass beyond Dalot to send Maeda through and create a promising opportunity. Finished his goal with precision and came close to adding another. 8
Marcelino Nunez: Worked tirelessly in front of the defence, regularly seeking possession and dropping between the central defenders. Unfortunately, an ill-timed slip allowed the hosts to score an important equaliser. 6
Sasa Lukic: Proved to be a valuable addition to the Ipswich side. Showed excellent game management by disrupting the hosts’ momentum, even though it resulted in a yellow card. 7
Abdul Fatawu: Beat Shaw near the touchline before intelligently finding a team-mate as Ipswich moved in front. Received a booking for a reckless challenge on Mbeumo, but otherwise impressed. 7
Julio Ensico: Resisted challenges from Shaw and Mbeumo during a powerful run from one end of the pitch to the other, although his weak finish brought no reward. Remained a constant danger. 8
Daizan Maeda: An energetic early burst along the left flank demonstrated Ipswich’s attacking approach. Later tested the home defence with an angled effort from the edge of the box. 7
Emersonn: Used his physical presence in an attempt to force Maguire and Martinez deeper, and embraced his demanding battle with the England defender. 6
