East Fife have dismissed experienced manager Dick Campbell following an eight-match winless run in League One and the club’s elimination from the KDM Evolution Trophy.
The 72-year-old arrived at New Bayview in February 2024 after lengthy managerial spells with Arbroath and Forfar Athletic.
Campbell previously managed Dunfermline Athletic, Brechin City, Partick Thistle and Ross County. Guiding East Fife to promotion through the 2025 play-offs marked the seventh promotion of his career.
East Fife are seventh in the standings after securing only one victory in 10 matches. Their campaign in the former Challenge Cup ended on Tuesday with a 2-1 defeat away to Lowland League side Cumbernauld Colts.
The club said the loss had caused a financial setback after it committed a record level of investment to its playing squad across the past two seasons.
Campbell’s brother Ian has also left the club, alongside coaches Stuart Malcolm and John Young.
Elsewhere, former St Mirren and Clyde manager Danny Lennon has been appointed interim head coach of Dumbarton after Frank McKeown’s exit.
Dumbarton currently occupy sixth place in League Two and were also knocked out of the KDM Evolution Trophy following a 4-0 loss to Clydebank.
Lennon joined Dumbarton as director of football in September after going without a win during an eight-match spell in charge of Championship club Airdrieonians last season.
