Raul Jimenez – Experienced Wolves Forward Set for Knee Surgery

News

Hayward said: “Rodrigo Gomes is recovering well, although he remains in the early stages of rehabilitation. He damaged several ankle ligaments, making the injury more complicated than initially hoped.

“We are waiting for the swelling to subside before gradually increasing his workload and getting him back outside. It is not expected to keep him out for an extended period, so his return should come relatively soon.

“Bertrand Traore is dealing with a minor hamstring problem. The injury is in a sensitive area of the muscle where setbacks can occur if recovery is rushed, so we need to manage him carefully. Nevertheless, it is not considered serious. He is training diligently, making good progress and should not be unavailable for long.”

“Boubacar Traore has missed the past few weeks with a calf issue. He has resumed pitch-based work with the rehabilitation staff and is progressing strongly. If his recovery continues as planned, he should rejoin full training within the next one or two weeks. His response to treatment has been very positive.”

Wolves sit ninth in the Championship standings, level with the play-off positions but behind on goal difference. They travel to face Burnley on Friday evening.
