Harry Kane is expected to begin official discussions with Bayern Munich regarding a contract extension with the German champions.
The England captain’s existing agreement runs until the end of next season, and Bayern want to secure the forward’s services for a longer period.
The 32-year-old is believed to have been informed of the Bundesliga side’s plans to present him with a new deal, with negotiations likely to advance over the next few weeks.
Kane moved to Bayern from Tottenham in 2023 for a reported fee of £86m.
The forward has enjoyed a highly successful spell in Munich, contributing to the club’s triumphs in two Bundesliga campaigns and the German Cup.
After netting six times for England at the latest World Cup, Kane has now registered 146 goals in 134 matches for Bayern since completing his move.
Although Bayern are determined to agree fresh terms with him, Kane remains a target for teams in Europe and other regions.
Barcelona have tracked the England skipper for some time, while several Saudi Arabian clubs have also been associated with the centre-forward.
