European football authority Uefa has given Fifa until 2 November to provide important records concerning its governance and decision-making processes.
During Thursday’s Fifa Council meeting, president Gianni Infantino apologised over his proposal to sell World Cup rights, but did not provide the documents connected to the plan.
In a letter, Uefa general secretary Theodore Theodoridis said the global football organisation had yet to respond to several essential questions.
The letter stated that any decision to withhold information or records must be explained separately and supported by clear, specific reasons.
Uefa also submitted an eight-page document outlining concerns about several matters, including the proposed private investment in Fifa Forward Enterprise, the Fifa Peace Prize and Folarin Balogun’s suspended ban.
