Manchester United have completed the signing of Swedish winger Monica Jusu Bah from BK Hacken for a fee believed to be slightly below £400,000.
The 23-year-old has agreed a four-year contract and is United’s third arrival ahead of Thursday’s Women’s Super League transfer deadline.
Jusu Bah’s deal with BK Hacken had been due to run until 2028, while United reportedly overcame interest from other clubs to secure her services.
She described joining Manchester United as an extraordinary moment in her career.
The winger said the squad has a strong sense of unity and that there is considerable enthusiasm about the season ahead.
She also believes working under Eva Olid will be an ideal opportunity, praising the coach’s expertise and record of helping players fulfil their potential.
Jusu Bah added that she is determined to continue improving, contribute to the team’s shared objectives and enjoy memorable moments with the club.
She has spent her entire senior career in Sweden, emerging at Umea before joining BK Hacken in 2023.
In May, she played a key role as BK Hacken claimed the first edition of the Women’s Europa Cup.
The winger has earned 11 caps for Sweden and featured in each of the national team’s six Women’s World Cup qualifiers this year.
United are believed to be targeting at least one additional signing before next week’s deadline.
The club have already recruited defender Andrea Medina from Atletico Madrid and goalkeeper Janina Leitzig from Leicester City.
