Each club is required to submit two squads, known as ‘List A’ and ‘List B’.
List A
The submission deadline for this squad was Wednesday evening.
List A may include up to 25 players, at least eight of whom must qualify as ‘locally trained’. Within that group of eight, a maximum of four may be ‘association-trained’ rather than ‘club-trained’.
A club that registers fewer than eight locally trained players will have its 25-player allowance reduced by the same shortfall. For instance, registering only six locally trained players lowers the maximum squad size to 23.
List A must feature at least two goalkeepers, while the combined total across Lists A and B must be no fewer than three.
List B
This squad must be filed with the competition organiser by 23:59 CET on the day before each match.
There is no maximum number of players permitted on List B.
It is primarily intended for younger members of a club’s playing squad.
A player can be included on List B when they meet one of the following conditions:
-
They were born on or after 1 January 2005.
-
They have been eligible to represent the club for two uninterrupted years after turning 15.
-
They have been eligible to represent the club for three consecutive years after turning 15, with that period allowed to include a loan at another club in the same association.
A 16-year-old may also be named on List B after being continuously registered with the club throughout the previous two years.
A player who moved clubs after appearing in qualifying rounds or play-off matches may represent their new team once the league phase begins.
