Fulham have completed the signings of Gonzalo Garcia and Cesar Palacios from Real Madrid, with both players agreeing five-year contracts.
Garcia, 22, featured 39 times for the Spanish club last season and registered eight goals across all competitions.
The forward earned his first senior Spain appearance in June and will link up again with Fulham’s new manager, Alvaro Arbeloa. The transfer is reportedly worth about £34m, and the pair previously worked together at the Bernabeu.
Garcia said he was delighted and thankful to have joined the club.
He also expressed his appreciation to the board and Arbeloa for showing faith in him, adding that he was eager to begin.
The highly regarded striker, who shared the top-scorer honour at last summer’s Club World Cup, will be accompanied at Craven Cottage by his former Real colleague Palacios.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder has also signed a deal lasting until the summer of 2031, while the club can extend both players’ contracts by an additional year.
Palacios appeared five times for Real’s first team, coming off the bench on each occasion, and has represented Spain at under-20 level.
