PSV Eindhoven wide player Couhaib Driouech is attending Rangers’ match against Jagiellonia Bialystok at Ibrox as he closes in on a move to the Scottish Premiership side.
The 24-year-old Morocco international is likely to finalise the transfer on Friday.
Primarily deployed on the left flank, Driouech registered nine goals and eight assists across 40 matches last season.
Despite those numbers, much of his playing time came from the bench. He made only one start in PSV’s eight Champions League fixtures and appeared as a substitute 24 times in the Eredivisie.
Driouech has played for Morocco at Under-23 level and spent three campaigns with Rotterdam club Excelsior before moving to PSV in the summer of 2024.
He is set to become Rangers’ 10th addition of the summer and their second new winger, following Daisuke Yokota’s arrival from Hannover last week.
Chairman Andrew Cavenagh stated on Monday that the club anticipated bringing in “three to five more players”, while suggesting that “a number will possibly go out”. Midfielder Mohamed Diomande subsequently joined Turkish side Corum on Wednesday.
After progressing through Heerenveen’s academy and making his senior debut there, Driouech established his reputation at Excelsior. He recorded 16 goals in 101 appearances before securing a notable switch to PSV.
The Haarlem-born attacker is recognised for his agility, pace, composed finishing and versatility on either wing. Although eligible to represent France and the Netherlands, he chose Morocco and featured in the squad that lifted the Under-23 Africa Cup of Nations.
