Premier League and EFL teams must complete their summer transfers by 23:00 BST on Tuesday, 1 September.
The transfer market reopened for the second time this year on Monday, 15 June.
Under Fifa regulations, transfer windows may operate for no more than 16 weeks during a calendar year.
Last season, Premier League and English Football League clubs faced a 19:00 deadline, bringing the closing time in line with standard business hours. This season, the deadline has moved back to the customary time of 23:00.
Transfer markets in Spain, Germany and Italy will close on the same date, although their deadlines fall earlier that evening. France’s Ligue 1 window will end one day sooner.
Scottish clubs have until 17:00 on Thursday, 3 September to finalise their deals.
The Women’s Super League transfer period will also end on Thursday, 3 September.
