Captain Callum McGregor has no doubts about Yang’s value to the side.
“He plays a hugely important role in this team,” McGregor told Sky Sports following the 2-1 victory in Paisley. “His absence is a significant loss for us, but we naturally wish him all the best.”
Yang has delivered impressive numbers, recording two goals and one assist in seven appearances this season as his influence continues to grow.
During the previous campaign, he registered 10 goals and contributed three assists.
Wide play is central to Celtic’s approach this season, and Yang would probably be the first-choice option on the left if he were not away on international duty.
South Korea are scheduled to meet Qatar and Saudi Arabia in Japan later this month.
Meanwhile, Celtic’s upcoming schedule includes a Scottish Premiership visit to St Johnstone, a League Cup quarter-final away to Rangers, a Europa League home fixture against Ferencvaros and a league Old Firm derby on home soil.
