AFC Wimbledon Assistant Manager Terry Skiverton Diagnosed with Throat Cancer

News

AFC Wimbledon assistant boss Terry Skiverton has been diagnosed with throat cancer and will start treatment in the next few weeks.

The League One side confirmed that Skiverton had experienced additional health problems after revealing in July that he was temporarily stepping away from his role while recovering from ankle surgery.

In an official statement, the club said:, external “Terry has received important assistance from the League Managers Association (LMA) over recent months, while the club remains committed to supporting him and his family during his treatment and recovery.

“Everybody at AFC Wimbledon offers Terry their warmest wishes as he gets ready to begin the next phase of his care.”

The 51-year-old became Johnnie Jackson’s assistant at AFC Wimbledon in May 2022 and played a role in the team’s promotion to League One via the play-offs in 2025.
