Burnley have named Nicky Hayen, formerly of Genk, as their new manager on a contract that runs for three years.
The 45-year-old from Belgium takes over from Scott Parker, whose departure was confirmed at the close of April following the team’s drop from the Premier League.
Hayen, who previously coached Welsh club Haverfordwest County from 2021 to 2022, guided Genk to a seventh-place finish in the Belgian top division last term.
“I’m excited to arrive at a club steeped in tradition and full of passionate supporters,” he shared via the club’s official channels., external “I realize many fans may not be familiar with me just yet; that’s understandable and I’m determined to earn their trust.”
