Cammy Devlin: Rangers land midfielder after Hearts exit

Transfer

Midfielder Cammy Devlin has described his free transfer to Rangers as “a tremendous honour and privilege” following his departure from Hearts.

The 28-year-old Australian international spent half a decade at Tynecastle, amassing 171 appearances and scoring eight goals.

He has earned five caps for his nation and was part of their squad for the 2026 World Cup.

Devlin, who has signed a two-year contract that includes an option for an extra 12 months, becomes the third notable arrival at Ibrox from Hearts this summer.

Forward Lawrence Shankland joined Rangers before featuring for Scotland at the World Cup, and Derek McInnes took over as manager after Danny Rohl departed for RB Salzburg.

“With the manager arriving and considerable change sweeping through the club, it feels like a wonderful time to be joining,” Devlin said.

“After spending a fair amount of time in Scotland, I am fully aware of the size of this club and everything that comes with representing such a massive football club.

“To finally call myself a Rangers player is very special, and I am simply eager to get started.”
