Kasper Hogh of Bodo/Glimt set for medical in next 24 hours
When asked about reports that Hogh was set to undergo a medical, O’Neill replied: “Yes, that appears to be the case. I believe it will take place within the next 24 hours.”
Hogh’s expected arrival should reduce some of the pressure on Celtic’s board and manager following Saturday’s departure of popular forward Daizen Maeda, who joined Ipswich Town.
Celtic, meanwhile, have completed only one transfer this summer, although Colombian attacker Camilo Duran has already scored three times in three pre-season matches.
The club have also been repeatedly connected with Paderborn midfielder Mika Baur.
Questioned on whether a move for the 22-year-old German could happen, O’Neill said: “I honestly can’t give you an answer. At this moment, I really don’t know.
“My attention has been on preparing for this match. Tomorrow, I’ll assess where everything stands.
“There are several other potential deals being worked on, and it would be excellent for us if some of them are completed.”
