Burnley have recruited Kazakhstan winger Dastan Satpayev from Chelsea on a season-long loan.
The transfer was completed two days after Satpayev marked his 18th birthday by agreeing to a six-year contract at Stamford Bridge, which includes an option for another year.
The young player arrived in England after previously agreeing to leave Kairat FC for Chelsea in January 2025 in a deal valued at £3.4m.
Satpayev said: “I am delighted to be here. This is an excellent opportunity for my career and a chance to demonstrate my ability at a great club while helping the team return to where they should be.
“This will be my first experience of playing in England. I am prepared for the next stage of my journey and hope to enjoy a successful spell with Burnley.”
The move is among several loan deals involving Chelsea this week. Ryan Kavuma-McQueen has signed for Portsmouth, Reggie Walsh has joined Wigan Athletic, and Shim Mheuka is also close to securing a temporary move elsewhere.
