Crystal Palace Complete Signing of Winger Anan Khalaili from Union Saint-Gilloise

News

Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Israel international Anan Khalaili on a contract lasting until 2031.

The Eagles are understood to have spent £21m on the 21-year-old, who is capable of playing at full-back and on the wing.

Khalaili joins from Union Saint-Gilloise, having helped the club claim its first Belgian Pro League championship in 90 years as well as lift the Belgian Cup after arriving in 2024.

His continental experience could prove valuable during Palace’s Europa League campaign, with three of his six goals last season coming in the Champions League.

Khalaili said he had watched the Premier League for many years and was excited to take on a fresh challenge.

He added that he had also followed Crystal Palace for a long time, praised the club’s three trophy successes and expressed his ambition to help secure further honours.

The Israel international is the fifth new player to join Pierre Sage’s squad.

Defenders Takehiro Tomiyasu and Oscar Mingueza both arrived on free transfers, while Dwight McNeil joined as part of a deal involving Brennan Johnson and Evann Guessand returned on a season-long loan from Aston Villa.
