West Ham United have secured the services of England international Ebony Salmon on a two-year contract after her departure from Aston Villa.
The 25-year-old, who has earned four caps for her country, made 75 appearances for Villa before leaving when her contract expired at the end of the season.
Salmon started her career at Villa, coming through their academy to break into the first team ahead of a move to Manchester United in 2018.
“I’m truly delighted to join West Ham United and begin this new chapter in my career,” she said.
“After speaking with Rita [Guarino] and others at the club, it felt like the ideal next step for me.
“I’m really eager to get going, to meet my teammates and the supporters, and to help West Ham move forward this season.”
Salmon spent a loan spell at Sheffield United and later joined Bristol City, before stints with Racing Louisville and Houston Dash in the United States.
She becomes the seventh summer acquisition for Guarino’s side after West Ham ended the previous Women’s Super League campaign third from bottom.
