Jack Grealish: What Lies Ahead for the Manchester City Winger?

News

Grealish appeared to be rediscovering his finest form while on loan at Everton, recording two goals and six assists across 20 matches before suffering an injury.

His impressive start to last season earned him the Premier League Player of the Month prize for August and quickly made him a popular figure among supporters.

Sources at City indicate that no firm bids have been submitted for Grealish this summer. If he leaves, a return to Hill Dickinson Stadium currently appears to be the most realistic possibility.

Everton have not yet opened negotiations over a potential agreement, although the club remain interested in bringing him back.

Everton chief executive Angus Kinnear confirmed that the club have continued communicating with the player.

Kinnear noted that Grealish chose to complete the remainder of his injury rehabilitation with Everton last season, even though he had the option of returning to Manchester City.

He added that Grealish had developed a strong affection for Everton, while acknowledging that he remains contracted to City and that this must be respected. The warm reception he received from the squad and supporters has also created a solid foundation for possible longer-term discussions.

Kinnear stressed that Grealish’s recovery from a significant injury is the immediate priority and said he was pleased to see the midfielder play some minutes in the Community Shield.
