Although Elmore usually operates on the wing or in midfield for Sparta Prague, she spent most of the match at Inver Park spearheading Northern Ireland’s attack as the sole striker.
Having already competed at some of the highest levels of European club football, including the Champions League and Europa League this season, Elmore said she was ready to take on this new challenge.
“It was my first time playing as a centre-forward in many years, going back to my university days.
“I enjoy playing in any attacking role and am comfortable wherever I am needed up front. Ultimately, I am willing to play in any position that helps the team.”
Manager McArdle also feels the former England youth international can strengthen the squad, who now head to Portimao on Tuesday (19:45 BST) for a difficult assignment.
“Kess brought some welcome energy when she came on for her debut,” McArdle said.
“I am pleased everyone had the opportunity to see the qualities I have noticed in Kess. She can strengthen the group and provide an extra threat in attack and the final third, so I am delighted she was able to get onto the pitch.”
