Nottingham Forest Star Morgan Gibbs-White Fined for Running a Red Light

News

England international and Nottingham Forest attacking midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White must pay more than £1,000 in court penalties after his Range Rover was recorded driving through a red light.

A camera captured the 26-year-old’s vehicle passing traffic signals in West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire, 1.1 seconds after the light had changed to red.

Court records show that Gibbs-White, who made his senior England debut in 2024, did not reply to two police notices requesting confirmation of who was behind the wheel when the offence occurred.

He was found guilty last Tuesday of failing to identify the driver involved in the traffic violation.

During their investigation, Nottinghamshire Police issued an alert for the vehicle after discovering that its registration plate differed by one letter from the details held by the DVLA.

Staffordshire Police stopped the Range Rover in April and established that it was owned by Gibbs-White.

Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court imposed a £660 fine, added six penalty points to his driving licence and ordered him to cover £120 in legal costs along with a £264 victim surcharge.
