La Roja claimed a record-extending 10th Uefa Men’s Under-19 Championship by beating Germany 2-0 at Wrexham’s Racecourse Ground.
Strikes from Hugo Lopez and Mario Rivas ensured the young Spaniards successfully defended the crown they first lifted in 2024.
Paco Gallardo’s side stood head and shoulders above the eight-nation field across the two-week tournament in north Wales.
They racked up 19 goals across their five matches while keeping a perfect defensive record.
Germany’s Otto Stange was thwarted on two occasions by goalkeeper Manu Gonzalez, while Spain’s Daniel Yanez curled a free-kick past the upright.
Lopez’s deft chip came back off the bar, but the Villarreal attacker would not be kept out for long.
After Yanez’s deflected effort rebounded off the post, Lopez pounced from point-blank range to nudge Spain ahead just before the interval.
The lead was doubled three minutes into the second period when Rivas headed in from a Yanez corner.
The triumph completed a notable double for Spanish youth football, after the women’s under-19 side also overcame Germany in their European final in Bosnia-Herzegovina earlier on Saturday.
Both men’s finalists – along with beaten semi-finalists Ukraine and Croatia – had already booked their places at the 2027 Fifa U20 World Cup in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
Earlier in the week, Denmark defeated Italy on penalties to earn a spot in the inter-confederation play-offs for that tournament.
