Cadden has also made two appearances for Scotland. Robinson wanted to recruit an experienced player with a thorough knowledge of the competition.
Cadden, whose brother Nicky is still at Hibs, said: “I have worked with the manager previously, so I understand the level of his ambition and what he hopes to accomplish. His enthusiasm and plans for the team were obvious, and this represents a new opportunity for me.”
Hibs head coach David Gray praised Cadden for his outstanding contribution to the club.
“His commitment, dependability, professionalism and exemplary conduct in training have established a benchmark for both new signings and emerging players,” Gray said.
“Regrettably, we were unable to provide the amount of playing time he wanted. Given where he is in his career, we appreciate his desire to secure more opportunities on the pitch.”
