Bournemouth‘s Alex Scott and Real Betis winger Antony were both dismissed following an altercation in a 2-2 friendly draw in Seville.
The incident occurred shortly before the interval when Betis midfielder Nelson Deossa struck the ball at Bafode Diakite after the Bournemouth defender had fouled him.
Players from the two teams then became involved in a heated clash. Antony and Scott shoved one another before the referee showed both players red cards.
Marcus Tavernier opened the scoring for Bournemouth in the 41st minute, while Cucho Hernandez drew Betis level in the 57th minute.
Evanilson restored Bournemouth’s advantage, but Pablo Fornals scored a late equaliser for the Spanish club.
Bournemouth will complete their pre-season schedule against German club Mainz on 15 August at 14:30 BST, before opening their Premier League season against Manchester City on 23 August.
