Mudryk is reportedly willing to consider a switch to north London, having remained in contact with Roberto de Zerbi, his former manager at Shakhtar Donetsk.
Chelsea signed Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2023 for an upfront fee of £61m.
He received a provisional suspension after an out-of-competition test conducted while he was representing Ukraine in October 2024 returned an “adverse finding” for the prohibited substance meldonium.
The FA later imposed the maximum four-year suspension, although Mudryk challenged the ruling at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas).
He was nevertheless cleared to resume competing “with immediate effect” on 31 July. The FA confirmed that the disciplinary case had been settled, with Mudryk acknowledging an anti-doping rule violation and accepting a suspension matching the period he had already completed.
Mudryk, who has consistently insisted that he “never knowingly or intentionally” used a prohibited substance, said he was “grateful” to return to action following “the most difficult period” of his career.
