For the time being, Jota will only feature in domestic competitions because he was not included in Celtic’s Europa League squad. The Glasgow club will host Celta Vigo on Thursday at 20:00 BST.
Despite that limitation, he appreciates every chance he gets to play.
He said that his deep passion for football helped him embrace the challenge of returning, even though others might have been discouraged by the difficulties involved.
That determination motivated him to train consistently and maintain his health and fitness, even when his recovery was not progressing as hoped.
Football remains both his dream and his passion. Although there were difficult periods when he struggled to stay positive, he never stopped believing and instead looked for a different path forward.
His priority was to return only when fully fit, regardless of how long the process took, as he is still young and expects to have many years left in his career.
Rather than rushing his recovery, he wanted each step to be handled properly and remained confident in the process.
