Hearts are currently the only side to have secured a place in the Conference League league phase, having played their qualifying tie one day before the other fixtures.
Pot two is the highest seeding Hearts can achieve, but the Jam Tarts are more likely to be placed in one of the lower pots.
Rangers would be certain to enter pot one if they advance, as they are among the highest-ranked teams capable of reaching the Conference League league phase. Benfica, Atalanta and Braga would also be included in the leading pot if they qualify.
Brighton and Hove Albion still have a mathematical chance of being placed in the top pot. To achieve that, however, at least five of the 21 potential qualifiers with superior club ratings would need to miss out on the league phase.
Motherwell and Hibernian would be allocated to one of the lower pots if they progress because of their club coefficient rankings.
Republic of Ireland side Shamrock Rovers would receive a higher seeding than most British clubs currently competing in qualifying, with only Rangers and Brighton ranked ahead of them.
Northern Ireland’s Larne also hold a better ranking than Motherwell and Hibernian.
