Everton have transferred Scotland right-back Nathan Patterson to Torino for an undisclosed amount.
The 24-year-old moved from Rangers to the Premier League side in January 2022 for a reported £12m, signing a five-and-a-half-year deal, but was unable to secure a regular place in the starting line-up.
Despite struggling with injuries during his time at Everton, Patterson featured in 68 matches, including 29 appearances from the bench. Eight of those outings came last season.
He also represented Scotland six times during that period and played in each of their three World Cup group-stage fixtures. On returning to Everton, he hoped to earn a consistent first-team role under fellow Scot David Moyes.
However, his only appearance of the current campaign came as a second-half substitute in last week’s 4-0 League Cup victory at Preston North End.
Patterson, who has earned 29 international caps, will link up with Scotland teammate Che Adams at Torino. The forward has also been linked with a move during the summer transfer window.
