Manchester City have completed the signing of winger Iliman Ndiaye from Everton for a package that could reach £65m.
The 26-year-old Senegal international joined on deadline day for an initial £60m, with another £5m potentially payable in bonuses.
Ndiaye has agreed a five-year deal that will keep him at the Etihad Stadium through 2031.
Tottenham reached an agreement with Everton for Ndiaye on Friday evening, when Richarlison appeared set to return to his former club in a separate deal.
The proposed transfer did not go ahead after Richarlison was reportedly unable to settle personal terms with Everton, preventing Spurs from completing their move for Ndiaye.
The signing was completed on the same day City agreed a joint British-record £125m fee for Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez.
